During both lockdowns I decided to make use of my time and I virtually attended as many destination workshops as possible and re-engaged with industry suppliers both old and new.
I have learnt about new and emerging destinations such as Montenegro, Latvia and Bhutan and re-established contacts in other locations such as Marrakech and Istanbul. One very rainy afternoon in April 2021 I even enjoyed a virtual Big Game Safari in South Africa with the brilliant Green Route Team.
June and July 2021 saw us back out there doing some small live events in London and then at the end of November we went to Malta with 145 delegates! It was truly magical to be back out there doing what we love and looking after our clients. There is certainly some light at the end of the tunnel. Our phones are ringing and our e-mails are pinging with some lovely new enquiries and we are re-engaging with clients and suppliers alike.
